Curriculum overview:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Barcelona School of Architecture (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) in 1973
- Ph.D. in Architecture from Barcelona School of Architecture (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) in 1981. Ph.D. Thesis:
Design and analysis of bar structures, fully articulated, with large deformations.
- Lecturer of Architectural Technology Knowledge Area. 1993. U.P.C
- Former Director of the Vallés School of Architecture (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) from 2002 to 2005.
- He has published WinTess software, for the design and analysis of membrane tensile structures, and WinEva, program for the analysis of structures in 2D, as a teaching tool. Also published the book: Properties of materials and elements in construction, 2010.
- He has developed several research studies in field of tensile structures: membranes, cables, etc.. ; Analysis and programming on technology and architecture; stereographic Studies of solar radiation and illumination: expandable Arches.
- Teaching experience abroad: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil (2011), Belgium (2009), Guatemala (2008), Costa Rica, Belgium (2006)
- Research stays in foreign universities: Liverpool, UK, (2005-06), Bath, UK (1991 and 1994), Swansea, UK (1999 and 1985), Yokohama, Japan (1979)
